Lip blushing is a sheer wash of pinky color filled in over the entire lip. Right after the treatment, the color is bright, beautiful and full, the lips appear plump and thicker. I use a rotary machine to apply pigment to the line of the lips and the entire lip skin.
The first 30 minutes of the lip blush appointment include the consultation, color choices, drawing and shaping of the lips and applying a strong numbing cream to make the treatment a comfortable experience. The lip blushing takes 90 minutes and then the after care explanation and check out takes about 15 minutes. The overall time is about 2.5 hours from the moment you walk in the door and walk out with beautiful lips and a goodie bag!
The healing is approximately 7 days. The color fully blooms and is absorbed by the skin after approximately 30 days. That is the nature of skin healing in general and applies to all of my other services.
A strong lidocaine numbing cream is used and applied before and during the process. It doesn’t hurt and is very comfortable.
Lip blush lasts 1-3 years depending on how bright of a color you choose. The more natural soft pinks will fade more quickly than the brighter bolder pinks. After your first session of lip blush, if you get the 6 week follow up, it will help the color last longer and have an even shade. The center of the lips fade more quickly and require another layer of color in a second session because it’s at the opening of the mouth where food and water are consumed.
I have one of the best prices in town. Lip blush is currently $300, this is an introductory special. This is not expensive, it lasts up to 3 years and think of all the money and time you’ll save!
